No. We can refer you to our expert partners for any drawings, plans and renderings your project requires.
We are adamant about following local codes and regulations. We can handle the permitting process for you or you as the homeowner can take the reins.
While we believe it is always worth the cost to hire professional designers, it is not critical. We can work with you to come up with final designs or assist in finding a designer that is a good fit for your vision.
The one constant in construction is that there will always be unforeseen challenges. This is especially true in remodels and additions where we are unable to see exactly what is happening inside the walls and under the floors. When we encounter a change, our project manager will discuss the issue and the impact to the schedule and budget. They will present the options and you will have the final say in how we proceed.
We believe that it is not the presence or absence of challenges that determines a good contractor but rather how they communicate and address them when they inevitably come.
Cost Plus is essentially the cost of the materials and labor to do the project plus an agreed upon contractor fee that is added as a percentage to the actual costs of the work. In a cost plus scenario, we will provide an estimate on the front end and provide access to all quotes, bids and bills we receive in an effort to be completely transparent. This type of pricing is typically best in remodels and additions where it is near impossible to determine the exact scope of the project before work has been started.
At this time, we do not have any financing available through Travicon.
Yes, subcontractors are essential to any construction project. One of the main advantages of using a General Contractor for your project is their network of vetted and qualified subcontractors. We have a team of Subs that we have worked with for years. Because of this, we are able to provide a consistent product at competitive pricing.
Yes, we carry Liability, Workers Comp, and Automobile Insurance. We can provide a certificate showing limits upon request. Builders Risk insurance is project specific and is an additional cost to the project owner.
Typically there is an initial deposit at the time a contract is signed and then subsequent Monthly invoices. These are typically sent out by the 5th of each month. Depending on the nature and scope of the project, this is subject to more frequent invoices.
Great! You’re one step closer to a successful project. We work closely with architects and planners to bring your vision to life.
No worries! We can assist as little or as much as youd like. We can provide ideas and suggestions based on our experience or provide architectural services through one of our many partners we’ve worked with in the past.
It depends. We are structured to tackle larger remodels, additions and new builds. Typically, if the project is something a “Handyman” could tackle, we wouldn’t be the most competitive in these scenarios. However, feel free to reach out and discuss your project to see if we can help you out!
While we will go anywhere for the “right” project, we typically stay within an hour of Nashville.
The first step is to give us a call to discuss your project. From there we will most likely schedule a visit to meet in person and put eyes on the project. We can usually provide a rough dollar range to see if it is even feasible for your budget. If all sounds doable, we can provide accurate pricing and then move to contracts and execution.
Yes, we provide a standard 1 year warranty. However, we want our customers to be completely happy so we encourage them to reach out if there are any issues even after 1 year.
Yes, we can definitely provide references and in many cases, we can provide access to past jobs so you can see our work for yourselves.
You will have a project manager assigned to your project. They will be the main point of contact throughout the duration of construction. We also work very closely as a team here at Travicon so you will also have regular interaction with the owner and other key people to ensure your project is smooth and you are satisfied.
